The Sandawana mine of Zimbabwe has produced some of the world’s most intensely coloured emeralds since its discovery in the 1950s, particularly celebrated for its vivid, chromium-rich green that is unmatched in depth of saturation. This 2.28 ct square-cut specimen displays the characteristic Sandawana vivid green — a rich, pure colour with excellent evenness across the table and good transparency.
